At around 5 p.m. Friday afternoon, heavy black smoke could be seen for miles from a transport truck on fire on Line 5, just west of 5 Sideroad and the 400 interchange.
Bradford Fire and Emergency Services arrived and found the truck fully involved and the set up to extinguish the blaze. The trailer was empty.
The driver escaped with no injury. No other vehicles were involved.
Line 5 remains closed west of 5 Side Road for vehicle removal and clean up.
