A new case of COVID-19 was reported last night at Fieldcrest Elementary School in Bradford.
One classroom has been closed in relation to the case, which is located on Professor Day Drive.
Also reported by the public school board on Monday is one case at Bear Creek Secondary School in Barrie. While this is currently the only active case at Bear Creek, it marks the second case since September at the school, which saw its first case on Sept. 21. That case has since recovered. One classroom is closed in relation to the new case.
There is also a case reported at Nantyr Shores Secondary School. No classrooms have closed as a result of this case. This marks the second reported case at that school; the first reported on Oct. 25 who has since recovered.
The schools remain open.
The Simcoe County District School Board and the health unit have not reported whether the individuals are students or staff members.
