Hundreds of prospective employees attended last year's Innisfil Job and Career Fair, which was held at the Innisfil Recreational Complex.

Whatever kind of work you’re looking for, find it at the Innisfil ideaLAB and Library’s Lakeshore branch Wednesday afternoon.

The Town of Innisfil Economic Development Office, in partnership with Agilec Innisfil, will host the annual Innisfil Job and Career Fair at the branch (967 Innisfil Beach Rd.) on March 19, from 2 to 6 p.m.

"Innisfil is not only a great place to live, there are also a range of employment opportunities which allow residents to work close to home," Innisfil Mayor Lynn Dollin said in a recent statement. "This event will be a great opportunity for the community to come out and learn what's available in their own backyard."

Full-time, part-time, seasonal and student employment opportunities will be featured, and residents are encouraged to come prepared with a resume and cover letter for networking and career exploration.

Last year, the event saw a total of 25 businesses participate through the promotion of about 200 job postings, with more than 400 employment seekers in attendance. This year’s fair will feature a number of new employers, including DSV Global Transport and Logistics.

“DSV is proud to be building our future growth in Innisfil,” said Rob Chanona, the managing director of DSV Solutions in Canada. “As we continue to invest in innovation and technology, we are also committed to being a part of the local community. We look forward to offering new employment opportunities in a great work environment for our team and warehouse associates.”

DSV is currently building a 1.3-million-square-foot facility along Highway 400, within the Innisfil Heights Employment Area. The facility, set to open in July, will be the company’s largest Canadian warehouse and will employ about 225 people. DSV will be recruiting at the job fair for a range of new opportunities, from senior roles to general warehousing positions.
