Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) is pleased to make a third-quarter (Oct. 1 to Dec. 31) payment totalling $1,444,802 to the Town of Innisfil for hosting Gateway Casinos Innisfil.
So far, during OLG’s fiscal year (April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025), Innisfil has received $5,787,398. Since the gaming site opened in November 2001, Innisfil has received $112,975,843.
These payments to host communities are based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site.
“OLG’s Municipality Contribution Agreement payments help pave the way for Innisfil to build critical infrastructure and fund important programs that make a real difference for residents,” said Andrea Khanjin, member of provincial parliament for Barrie-Innisfil. “Gateway Casinos Innisfil supports numerous jobs and generates a great deal of economic activity that, in turn, improves the well-being of our local community.”
Since 1994, host communities have received more than $2.2 billion in non-tax gaming revenue.
OLG is proud to share proceeds of casino gaming with local communities, contributing to economic development including infrastructure and job creation. Payments to host communities are part of OLG’s commitment to Ontario, which includes reinvesting 100 per cent of OLG’s profits back into the province.
Over the past eight years, service providers have invested more than $2.5 billion in private sector capital investment across the province. These investments have led to the development and opening of seven new casinos, one large-scale resort development, numerous gaming floor expansions and new non-gaming amenities.
