The iconic Cirque du Soleil big top can now be seen along Lake Shore Blvd standing nearly 65 feet tall at Ontario Place as Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities presented by Sun Life Global Investments gets ready to welcome audiences once again, beginning April 14. Completing its six-day set up, a team of almost 100 people came together to unfurl the canvas and raise the roof on the intimate setting that will house the critically acclaimed show, Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities.
Cirque du Soleil's Kurios raises the roof of the iconic big top at Ontario Place, Toronto with shows running from April 14 to July 17.
“Our iconic Big Top taking its place in the Toronto skyline is a special moment” said Mike Newquist, president of touring show division at Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group. “It’s the first to be raised in Canada since the relaunch of our shows and we're excited to say 'take your seats!'"

Due to the phenomenal response since announcing its return to Toronto with Kurios, Cirque du Soleil is pleased to add seven more weeks of performances to its original engagement, which will now run from April 14 to July 17, 2022.
The extension also comes on the heels of the province lifting all COVID-19 capacity limits, along with the Government of Canada easing travel and border restrictions, as excitement builds for the summer tourism season and return to live entertainment events.

Cirque du Soleil also celebrates its triumphant return on stage in Canada, where everything started 38 years ago, as Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities today becomes the first big top to be raised on Canadian soil since the relaunch of our shows. With more than 112,000 tickets sold in Canada and, due to an enthusiastic demand, Cirque du Soleil is also pleased to announce date extensions for its two other shows touring in the country - Alegria in Vancouver (March 25 to June 5, 2022) and Kooza in Montreal (May 12 to August 14, 2022). Cirque fans from near and far are invited to spark their imagination and ignite their emotions under the Big Top, as Cirque du Soleil is officially back on stage in Canada.

Additional announcements are expected, as the company is preparing for the venue of an arena show that will visit 4 Canadian provinces, and another Canadian big top market is to be announced in April.
