A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared over in the Barrie hospital's cardiac renal unit.
The announcement was made Tuesday afternoon by Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), in collaboration with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.
During the outbreak, which was declared Jan. 16, RVH said 12 patients were affected. No staff members contracted the virus and there were no deaths.
The unit is now open to admissions and visitors.
