NEWS RELEASE
BEACH ROAD MARKET
*************************
Local makers, creators, artisans and small business owners are transporting to Beach Road Market’s new venue at Town Square, where we’re transforming the space into a Parisian market complete with coffee, French pastries, a cafeĢ and espresso truck, along with a portrait sketch artist.
The July 29 market, Take Flight, aims to inspire a sense of pride for Innisfil tourism while celebrating cultures from around the world. Nearly 50 vendors from Simcoe County are participating including those selling decor, apparel, food, art and other goods from their origins of Africa, Colombia, Venezuela and Mexico (just to name a few).
We are also revealing a new Beach Road Market collection presented by local artist Maria Kelebeev as well as hosting Innisfil-based photographer Bondi Photography, who will be on site hosting micro-photography sessions with a travel theme for a small fee.
In addition, Barrie-based poet laureate and author, ‘the People’s Poet,’ Ty the Poetess, along with up-and-coming artist and poet Lewis the Artist, the hip-hop dance group Boomboxerz Crew as well as Miss Jennie’s Performing Arts Studio, will be taking over the stage for a series of performances and poetry readings between sets from fiddler Nathan Smith.
In addition, a local soap maker, Your Bare Bubbles, is featuring an immersive kids’ sensory activity around water conservation along with a nature craft project available to market visitors for a small fee. We are also accepting donations to the local food bank from the purchase of ‘love locks,’ which will be placed on a mobile fence for all to see.
This is the third monthly market presented by Beach Road Market with a goal to unite the community through exciting local events bringing live music, art, small business, makers, creators and all things delicious together in a memorable and modern way.
