From July 12 to 14, specialty hockey retailer Pro Hockey Life will be celebrating the grand opening of its new Barrie store (80 Concert Way, Unit 1).
All weekend long, guests are invited to join in on the celebrations, which will include exciting games, interactive hockey challenges, tons of giveaways, exclusive in-store deals and special guest appearances from Edmonton Oilers player and Sherwood Hockey partner athlete Connor Brown, hockey skills expert Swaggy P, coach Jeremy Rupke and the Barrie Colts.

The new Pro Hockey Life Barrie store spans 22,000 square feet and features an open and easy-to-navigate layout complete with a world-class selection of gear, apparel and accessories from top brands, expert associates and enhanced in-store services to help players test and find gear that will improve their game, such as:
- Shooting Zone — a free slow shooting pad that allows players to try new sticks in store before they buy.
- New Bauer Fit Lab — a scanning station that identifies athletes’ unique foot type and provides personalized orthotic and skate recommendations for ideal fit and performance, giving every player — from beginner to pro — the ability to fit their skates to comfort and play style.
- Fitting Centre — dedicated lockers in the centre of the protective equipment zones where players can work one on one with our fit experts to get the perfect head-to-toe fit.
- Pro Shop — with techs available to help cater your blades specifically to your skating style, enhancing both the level of comfort and performance of your skates.
Pro Hockey Life Barrie grand-opening appearances
Friday, July 12:
4 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Special meet-and-greet with some of the superstar players from the Barrie Colts and their beloved mascot, Charlie Horse.
4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: City of Barrie representatives will be on site for a scroll presentation, including Mayor Alex Nuttall and MPP Andrea Khanjin.
5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.: Meet-and-greet with NHL’s Connor Brown.
Saturday, July 13:
12 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Elevate your game with Bauer athlete Swaggy P. Watch hockey skills expert Swaggy P showcase new techniques that will elevate your skills.
Sunday, July 14:
1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Don’t miss your chance to learn from the best. Hockey guru and CCM partner coach Jeremy Rupke will be on site to give future hockey stars a special coaching session to take your skills to the next level.
