*************************
The County of Simcoe reminds residents of the following schedule changes during the upcoming holiday period, including Christmas and New Year’s.
Curbside waste collection and waste drop-off facilities
- Curbside waste collection will not occur on Christmas Day (Wednesday, Dec. 25) or New Year’s Day (Wednesday, Jan. 1)

- This means that Wednesday routes will be collected on Thursday, and Thursday routes will be collected on Friday during those weeks. Monday and Tuesday routes will be unaffected, and collected as usual.
- All county waste drop-off facilities will close at 12 p.m. on Dec. 24 and be closed all day on Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1.
- Christmas tree collection runs biweekly by zone on your garbage weeks during the month of January.
- Place Christmas trees out on the Monday of your garbage week as collection will occur during the week, not necessarily on your regular collection day.
