The Town of Innisfil has lowered its flags at Town Hall to honour the memory of 215 children discovered in a mass grave at a former residential school in Kamloops, British Columbia. The flags will remain at half-mast for 215 hours—one hour for each life lost—as a sign of collective mourning.

Members of Council and staff grieve with the survivors of residential schools, their families and Indigenous communities at this time and echo the ongoing need for truth and reconciliation.
