Snow Squall Warning in effect for:

  • Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
  • Innisfil - New Tecumseth - Angus

Snow squalls continue today.

Hazards: Locally heavy snowfall with additional accumulations of 10 to 20 cm locally by this evening. Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.

Timing: Continuing today.

Discussion: Lake effect snow squalls will continue to affect the area today. Heavy snow and local blowing snow can be expected at times. The snow squalls are expected to ease to lake effect flurries this afternoon or early this evening.

Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
