It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Ella, at the age of 80, on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Care Centre, Barrie, Ontario. Born on November 22, 1943, Ella brightened the lives of everyone she met with her love, warm spirit and infectious smile.
Beloved wife of Jim for 53 years. Loved mother of Katie Craig (Jesse Henkenhaf), Jenny Gellhaus, and Suzie Faulkner (Geoff). Loving Nana to Viktoria, Elyse, Elizabeth, and Wesley. Dear sister of Diane Linscott (Cameron). Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Irene Sutton.
To Ella, her family was most important. She loved family gatherings filled with laughter, love and relaxation, where she enjoyed making unforgettable memories with family and friends. Time spent with family and friends was often complemented by Ella's love for good food and drink, where each gathering became a celebration surrounded by friends and family.
While Ella's unexpected passing leaves a profound void, her legacy of love and laughter will continue to resonate in our hearts. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her, remembered for her love, warmth and the countless moments of joy she shared. Ella Craig has truly left this world richer with all the love she freely gave, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who cherish her.
