It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Cécile Lachance (née Levasseur) on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Victoria Village Long-Term Care in Barrie, at the age of 84.
Cécile was predeceased by her beloved husband, Clément Lachance of Kapuskasing. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Monique Bouchard (late Daniel), Yvan Lachance (Helen), Rachel Lachance-Jaureguizuria (Richard), and Lucie Galos (David).
She was a cherished grandmother to Natalie (Adam), Isabelle, André (Julia), Élodie (Clint), Philippe (Aline), Renée, Julie, Natasha, and Michael, and a proud great-grandmother to Asher, Felix, Owen, Luca, Romeo, Maxim, Milo, Rocco, and Blaise.
Cécile was a woman of remarkable creativity and generosity. She found great joy in knitting, sewing, and gardening, and she took pride in cooking for family and friends. Her warmth and strong sense of community touched the lives of many.
Cremation has been entrusted to Legacy Funeral and Cremation Services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Cécile était une femme d'une créativité et d'une générosité remarquables. Elle trouvait une grande joie dans le tricot, la couture et le jardinage, et elle était fière de cuisiner pour sa famille et ses amis. Sa chaleur et son profond sens de la communauté ont marqué la vie de nombreuses personnes.
La crémation a été confiée à Legacy Funeral and Cremation Services. Une célébration de vie aura lieu à une date ultérieure.
