It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Eleanor Mary Sweezie on August 22, 2024 in her 95th year, who passed peacefully in her sleep at home in Innisfil.
Eleanor was predeceased by her parents Roy and Margaret Hazelton. She was the cherished wife for 38 years of the late Lorne Sweezie. She leaves behind her children, Lynne (David), Bruce (Francine), and Brian. Lovingly remembered by Nathaniel (Zandra), Max (Kandice), Darcie, and Madden.
The family is truly grateful to Eleanor’s support worker, Lindsay, for providing her with excellent care and companionship for these past two years. We would also like to thank Ontario Health at Home for providing palliative end-of-life care to enable Eleanor to remain at home and comfortable in her last few weeks.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral or gathering. Arrangements have been entrusted to Peaceful Transition, Barrie for cremation and burial alongside her beloved Lorne at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Scarborough.
