An Alliston man is accused of stealing more than $65,000 worth of vehicles, tools and other items.
On Jan. 2, police launched an investigation after a Kubota diesel side-by-side was stolen and a GPS tracker was pinging at an Alliston address.
On Tuesday at about 5:25 p.m., a search warrant was executed at the address and the stolen Kubota was found in the garage along with the following items, believed to be stolen, with a total value of $65,810, Nottawasaga OPP said in a news release:
- Kubota RTV ($21,000)
- Enclosed trailer ($5,000)
- Three red Honda dirt bikes ($8,000)
- Green Kawasaki dirt bike ($3,500)
- Honda generator ($4,500)
- Four Stihl trimmers ($2,280)
- Two Stihl quick-cut saws ($3,600)
- Stihl chainsaw ($300)
- Two Hilti jackhammers/drills ($5,000)
- Echo backpack leaf blower ($400)
- Milwaukee band saw ($530)
- Milwaukee rotary hammer ($1,000)
- Wacker Neuson plate tamper ($2,200)
- Honda snow blower and pressure washer ($2,500)
- MTD snow blower ($500)
- Hilti electrical box ($1,500)
- Assorted brand-new Milwaukee power tools ($4,000)
Michael Brito, 29, has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and obstructing a peace officer. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 20.
