Driver allegedly caught going 148 km/h in 60 zone on Innisfil Beach Road

South Simcoe police say Scarborough woman has been charged with stunt driving; her licence was also suspended for 30 days

A vehicle was caught travelling 148 km/h in a 60 zone on Innisfil Beach Road, police say.

Remember, there is no fast lane on Innisfil Beach Road (IBR).

In an Oct. 15 social-media post, South Simcoe police say a vehicle was pulled over after it was caught travelling 148 kilometres per hour in a 60 km/h zone on IBR.

As a result, a Scarborough woman, 36, was charged with stunt driving and speeding. 

She also received a 30-day licence suspension, and her vehicle was impounded for 14.
