E-bike 'involved' in Sunday morning house fire in Bradford: Fire Chief

Structure fire reported in southeast Bradford neighbourhood early Sunday morning

An e-bike appears to have caused quite the early morning stir in a southeast Bradford neighbourhood Sunday.

Bradford Fire and Emergency Services personnel, South Simcoe police and County of Simcoe paramedics were called to a structure fire at a home on Maplegrove Avenue May 26 at about 2:30 a.m.

Fire Chief Brent Thomas confirmed to BradfordToday that an e-bike was "involved" in the blaze.

“Our crews knocked down the fire quickly and were able to get the entire situation under control,” he said.

The home’s occupants were able to evacuate safely.
