Local man clocked at 191 km/h while impaired on Hwy. 400: OPP

A Barrie man, who was allegedly impaired, was clocked going 191 kilometres per hour by provincial police on Highway 400 in Vaughan early this morning.

According to Aurora OPP, police caught the 47-year-old driver heading north at the Teston Road interchange at 12:50 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16.

Police say the man was impaired by alcohol and arrested.

The man, whose name was not released by the OPP, has been charged with stunt driving and impaired driving. He was given an automatic 90-day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
