OPP investigating possible arson at residence under construction

Police are investigating a fire at a residence under construction in Adjala-Tosorontio Township as a possible arson.

On Sunday, Sept. 29 just after 2:30 a.m. members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were called to the fire on Marigold Boulevard in a new subdivision.

The location is in the area of County Road 14 and Concession Road 8.

Nottawasaga OPP and crews from the Adjala-Tosorontio Fire Department attended the scene and were able to safely extinguish the fire.

"The residence appeared to be under construction before the fire took place and no injuries have been reported at this time," police said in a news release.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Updates will be provided when available, police said.

The OPP are actively investigating the incident and seeking the public's assistance.
