South Simcoe Police Service officers have recovered construction equipment that was stolen in two separate thefts – one dating back to 2017.
Police launched an investigation after the reported theft of a Bobcat mini-excavator from a construction site near Innisfil Beach Road and Highway 400 on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020.
As a result of the investigation, the Street Crime Unit recently executed a search warrant at a property in Halton Region. The stolen mini-excavator was recovered along with a skid steer that was stolen three years ago in Peel Region.
The total value of the recovered construction equipment is $40,000.
The investigation is continuing.
