Barrie city police want to identify a male who fled on foot from a serious crash on Essa Road, Thursday afternoon.
The other driver was seriously injured in the crash, which happened just south of Anne Street at 2:45 p.m. She was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre by an Air Ornge helicopter.
City police have released two surveillance photos of a person running from the scene.
Anyone who recognizes the male is asked to call 705-705-7025, ext. 2912.
Police tell BarrieToday the woman's injuries "will require a significant stay in hospital."
