NEWS RELEASE
SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE SERVICE
*************************
The South Simcoe Police Service has been registered as a group with the Canadian Blood Services for their Sirens for Life Challenge.

Sirens for Life is Canadian Blood Services’ national initiative engaging first responders across Canada to help save lives by donating blood and plasma and by raising awareness of the importance of stem cell and organ tissue donation.

From July 4 to Sept. 4, 2024, all first responders are encouraged to engage in a friendly competition to bring in the most summer blood donations and we have challenged Innisfil Fire and Rescue to roll up their sleeves with us. Members of the public are also encouraged to help their favourite first responder win by joining their team and donating blood. If anyone needs more incentive than helping save a life or beating Innisfil Fire, all new donors will receive a $15 Firehouse Subs coupon courtesy of Barrie Firehouse Subs (while supplies last). When you are donating blood, make sure to snap a picture and tag us on our social media platforms.
