The Innisfil ideaLAB & Library invites you to join us for an opening reception for Innisfil AI.
Innisfil AI (artistic intelligence) is a public art project that bridges creativity, technology, and local culture.
Ten artists were selected through a call for artists by a panel of jurors, and these artists brought to life prompts submitted by the community in their own unique styles. The finished works will be on display at the Lakeshore branch starting Nov. 26 to Jan. 6, with a launch event on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The completed works are being digitized and printed on vinyl, which will be installed in the windows of local businesses along Innisfil Beach Road from December to March 2025. The participating businesses are:
- Agilec, Crossroads Plaza, 1070 Innisfil Beach Rd.
- Bruno’s Bakery & Café, 808 Innisfil Beach Rd.
- Bubbles ‘N’ Suds Laundromat, 847 Innisfil Beach Rd.
- Innisfil ideaLAB & Library, Lakeshore branch, 967 Innisfil Beach Rd.
- Johnny Burger, 847 Innisfil Beach Rd.
- Tenoch Restaurant & Bar, 945 Innisfil Beach Rd.
- Salon Rehoboth, 813 Innisfil Beach Rd.
- Water Depot, Crossroads Plaza, 1070 Innisfil Beach Rd.
- Wing’n it, Crossroads Plaza, 1070 Innisfil Beach Rd.
We invite residents to pick up an information card at participating businesses, showcasing featured artwork and locations. Join the community in exploring these creative installations and celebrating local talent this winter. This temporary public art exhibition creates opportunities for exploration and meaningful conversations about technology and art.
