BEACH ROAD MARKET

There’s farmers markets, artisan markets, makers markets, craft shows, fashion events, harvest and food festivals and then – there’s Beach Road Market!
The local community is buzzing with anticipation for the launch of Beach Road Market — a new monthly market in Alcona bringing music, small business, artists, makers, creators, food, attractions and youth activities focused on nature, mental health and inclusion together in a totally unique way.
“Our community is exploding with artistic and entrepreneurial talent and Alcona currently lacks the retail space needed to branch out of their home-based ventures. Beach Road Market offers the perfect platform for creators to highlight their talents to a large local crowd while creating opportunities to drive business back into our local economy,” explains market founder Kelsey Aman.
“It’s a win-win for everyone involved, plus it’s a great way to increase weekend foot traffic to existing brick and mortars in the area – especially during the summer months.”
The kick-off on Saturday, April 29 includes 35-plus vendors along with a pop-up ‘micro’ art gallery showcasing a glimpse into our local past courtesy of the Innisfil Historical Society photography archives. We’re also excited to feature Barrie-based poet, Victoria Butler, who will be performing a commissioned poem alongside renowned performer Rebekah Hawker.
In addition, the market features a plethora of up-and-coming artists including work by Maria Kelebeev who is presenting Beach Road Market with custom canvases to beautify the space.
With more people moving each year to Innisfil from the city, Beach Road Market is excited to host one event the last Saturday of each month – same place, same time, all year long, each with a unique theme to connect our community and draw in tourists from beyond our town.

At the April 29 event, the following will be available:
- 35+ vendors including jewelry, beauty products, ready to eat, flowers, apparel, art, ceramics + more!
- A youth/children focused ‘give, take’ interactive experience presented by Vault Mental Health
- Stage area with live music performed by Barrie-based vocalist Rebekah Hawker
- Live poetry reading by Barrie Poet Laureate Victoria Butler
- Art Showcase by Innisfil artist Maria Kelebeev
- ‘Geese On Water coffee tumblers featuring a design by Toronto-based generative artist Chelsea Watson
- Photos with ponies ‘Chip & Oreo’ from What Do You Know – A local rehabilitation for animals
- Art exhibit showcasing photography from Innisfil Historical Society
- Insta-worthy backdrops scattered around the venue including our ‘Meet Your Neighbour’ staged area, product showcase wall and collaborative vendor spotlight booth
- An interactive hockey/shooting space presented by the Lefroy Minor Hockey Association
- Complimentary facepainting for all ages, cornhole games and more!
