GO train service on the Barrie Line will be affected this weekend as crews complete work on the track.

Service will be temporarily suspended Saturday and Sunday “to accommodate critical track work that will bring faster, more frequent GO train service across the network,” according to Metrolinx.

GO buses will replace train service only between the Highway 407 bus terminal and the Allandale Waterfront GO station. Those planning to travel to Union Station in Toronto are urged to use the TTC near the Highway 407 bus terminal or the Downsview Park GO station.

  • GO bus Route 68F will serve Allandale Waterfront GO, Barrie South GO, the Barrie Bus Terminal, and the Highway 407 bus terminal.
  • GO bus Route 68G will serve the Barrie Bus Terminal, Allandale Waterfront GO, Barrie South GO, Bradford GO, East Gwillimbury GO, Newmarket GO, Aurora GO, King City GO, Maple GO, Rutherford GO, and Highway 407 bus terminal.
  • GO bus route 65H will serve Wellington Street East at Highway 404 Park and Ride, Aurora GO, and Highway 407 bus terminal.
  • GO bus route 65G will serve Aurora GO, King City GO, Maple GO, Rutherford GO, and Highway 407 bus terminal.
  • GO bus route 65J will serve East Gwillimbury GO, Newmarket GO, King City GO, Maple GO, Rutherford GO, and Highway 407 bus terminal.
  • GO bus route 68H will serve Bradford GO, East Gwillimbury GO, Newmarket GO, Aurora GO, Wellington Street East at Highway 404 Park and Ride, and Highway 407 bus terminal.

Metrolinx says GO bus connection times will be adjusted and there could be longer-than-usual wait times. Riders are encouraged to check schedules before travelling.

On Monday and Tuesday, northbound and southbound rail trips will also be slower on the Barrie Line due to the ongoing construction work. Some trip times will be adjusted, and customers are asked to check gotransit.com for updated schedules before travelling.

There will be no GO train service at King City GO on Monday to allow for rail and platform construction. Customers travelling to or from King City GO are asked to connect with local transit at Aurora GO or Rutherford GO.

Regular service will resume Wednesday.
