Swimming advisories posted at Innisfil Beach Park during the summer of 2021. Four beaches in town are currently under advisories, including two at Innisfil Beach Park.

A couple of Innisfil’s most popular beach destinations are under swimming advisories.

Following complaints, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit posted the warnings for Innisfil Beach Park North and South (676 Innisfil Beach Rd.), and Leonard's (2715 Purvis St.) and Bon Secours (2407 Leonard St.) beaches on July 8.

During a swimming advisory, the beach is posted with warning signs indicating the most recent water samples taken showed bacteria in numbers that may increase the risk of developing minor skin, eye, ear, nose or throat infections or stomach illness. If you swim during an advisory, avoid dunking your head or swallowing the water, the health unit says.
