Newmarket job seekers will have an opportunity to have Upper Canada Mall become something more to them as the shopping centre hosts a job fair Sept. 30 to Oct. 1.
More than 100 different positions will be available from retailers, who will conduct interviews over the two-day hiring event. Retailers participating include Hudson’s Bay, Roots, Banana Republic and dozens more stores within the shopping complex.
It all comes as the stores ready for the busiest shopping period of the year, Upper Canada Mall general manager Leah Walker said in a news release.
"The community looks to Upper Canada Mall for a wide range of shopping needs because we have so many great brands that are close to home,” Walker said. "These hiring events are wonderful opportunities for our growing community and benefit both our tenants and our loyal customers."
Candidates are encouraged to bring printed copies of their resume. The event will be held at Upper Canada Mall’s market court, with some retailers like Hudson’s Bay holding the event in-store.
