In the spirit of National Gingerbread House Day on Dec. 12, HGTV stars of the hit home design show Love It or List It David Visentin and Desta Ostapyk were at Friday Harbour's Parisienne Bakery earlier this week to festively decorate their own gingerbread houses.
The pair squared off in a friendly competition to see who could create the best-decorated house while catching up and reflecting on past seasons of the show and family Christmas traditions. The house decorating was streamed live on the stars' Instagram channels.

Desta Ostapyk is a Toronto-based designer who appeared in 5 seasons of Love It or List It, as an assistant designer to Hilary Farr, where she transformed and renovated spaces to tempt homeowners to stay, and love, their current homes.
