A Richmond Hill man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his infant child.
On Jan. 15, police were contacted by the York Region Children’s Aid Society about a child who had been taken to a hospital in Toronto. The seven-week-old had “significant injuries, which could not be explained by their parents,” York Regional Police said in a news release.
On Jan. 18, the child died of the injuries sustained.
On Oct. 23, the infant’s father, Hei Yip, 30, was charged with second-degree murder.
