Multiple charges laid after investigation in northeastern Bradford

South Simcoe police arrested and charged a 25-year-old man after an incident in the Britannia Avenue area of Bradford on Feb. 6.

An East Gwillimbury man faces multiple charges after a large police presence caught the attention of a northeastern Bradford neighbourhood Thursday afternoon.

South Simcoe police confirm they conducted an investigation in the area of Britannia Avenue on Feb. 6. Witnesses told BradfordToday there were about 10 police vehicles in the affected area. 

Police say the emergency response and canine units attended the scene. 

However, the 25-year-old man was arrested without incident and charged with failure to attend court or surrender, as well as two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking. 

No injuries were reported. 

He was held for a bail hearing and scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 7.
