A New Tecumseth resident has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic complaint Sunday evening in Angus.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m. on March 2, Nottawasaga OPP says officers received a call about a passenger vehicle "swerving all over the road" and "veering into oncoming lanes," according to a news release.
An officer was able to locate the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on Commerce Road.
Police say the officer issued an screening-device demand. The driver provided a sample, which resulted in a "fail," according to police.
Tomislav Mihnjak, 48, of New Tecumseth, has been charged with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired (blood-alcohol concentration 80 plus) and operation while impaired (alcohol and drugs).
None of the allegations have been tested in court.
In addition to the charges, the driver was issued a 90-day licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Bradford court on April 3.
