By packing a police vehicle on Thursday, you’ll be helping fill some hungry bellies.

South Simcoe Police Service is organizing a food drive in Bradford and Innisfil that is scheduled to take place Oct. 24. Representatives from the department, Helping Hand Food Bank and Innisfil Food Bank will collect non-perishable food items at the Zehrs (500 Holland St. W. in Bradford) and Sobeys (2080 Jans Blvd. in Innisfil) as part of the ‘Cram a Cruiser’ event.

“Everyone deserves access to nutritious meals, and together, we can make a difference by donating non-perishable food items,” the department said in a social-media post. “Every food item counts, and your contribution will make a difference. Let’s spread kindness and nourish our community together.”

The event runs from 3 to 6 p.m. at both locations.
