City police are investigating a stabbing that occurred near Barrie's Innisdale Secondary School, in the Bayview Drive and Little Avenue area, on Wednesday that left a male in his mid-teens injured and in hospital.
There is no word on the victim's condition.
Police were dispatched to the scene at about 2:34 p.m.
"A search is being conducted in the area and a canine unit was on the scene," Barrie police communications coordinator Peter Leon told BradfordToday and InnisfilToday.
He said there was an "edged weapon" involved in the attack, and the investigation is continuing.
Police could be seen in a parking lot close to the school, as well as at an adjacent business.
